Green University Students Club Election Held

On the 19 July 2016, election was held to elect the new governing body of 17 students clubs of Green University of Bangladesh in the campus premises in festive atmosphere. The election was conducted and facilitated by the Office of Student Affairs, headed by Mr. Shahid Ullah, the treasurer and the Director of Student Affairs of the university. The response from the students beat all expectations. Without any kind of domination, pressure or manipulation from teams, the voting was performed by almost eight hundred students. The result of the election was declared on the very day in the evening after the counting of vote has completed in front of the students. For conducting a fare election, there was an election commission headed by Dr. Helal Uddin Ahmed, Director of Centers and Associated Professor of Green Business School of the University. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Treasurer Mr. Md. Shahid Ullah, Registrar, Lt. Gen. Md. Mainul Islam (LPR), Dean, Green Business School, Prof. Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Controller of Examinations, Prof. SMK Nazmul Haque, Director (Finance and Accounts) Mr. Md. Ashraful Anower and Chairpersons of all departments visited the election booths and expressed their pleasure. K. M. Wazed Kabir, Chairperson, Dept of English was one of the appointed observers and he recorded his comments on the fairness of the Election.
