Swedish Institute Study Scholarships for International Students

Applicants with high ambition, leadership experience, and a strong professional background could study for a master’s degree in Sweden on a fully-funded Swedish Institute scholarship. SISS scholarships to a large number of master’s programs starting in the autumn semester.

The SISS scholarships cover:
Tuition fees: directly paid to the Swedish university by us
Living expenses of SEK 9,000/month
Travel grant of SEK 15,000 *

The scholarship will not cover:
Additional grants for family members.
Application fee to University Admissions.

Number of Scholarships:
An estimated 180 scholarships will be available.

Country of citizenship for eligible for the SISS Scholarship
Applicants from about 140 countries are eligible for SISS.

Category 1 – about 50 scholarships will be available for citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burkina-Faso, Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Category 2 – about 60 scholarships will be available for citizens of Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Iran and Vietnam.

Category 3 – about 60 scholarships will be available for citizens of countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients other than the above-mentioned and those countries included in other SI scholarship programs.

Eligibility for the SISS scholarship:
Applicants must be from an eligible country and have at least 3,000 hours of experience from full-time/part-time employment, voluntary work, paid/unpaid internship, and/or position of trust. You must have demonstrated leadership experience from employment, voluntary work, and/or internship after high school studies.

You must be required to pay tuition fees to the universities, have followed the steps of university admission, and will be admitted to one of the eligible master’s programs.
