Green University Mars Rover Team Achieves a Global Milestone at ARC 2026 in Türkiye with 6th Place and “Most Resilient Team” Award

The Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) Mars Rover Team has brought immense pride to Bangladesh by securing an outstanding 6th place and earning the prestigious “Most Resilient Team” Award at the Anatolian Rover Challenge (ARC) 2026, held in Ankara, Türkiye.
Held from 29 July to 1 August, ARC 2026 is recognized as one of the world’s leading international space robotics competitions. More than 40 university teams from around the world initially entered the competition, but after a rigorous selection process, only 20 teams advanced to the final round. Finishing among the top six teams globally marks a remarkable milestone for the Green University Mars Rover Team and highlights the growing capability of Bangladesh’s young engineers to compete on the international stage.
Throughout the competition, teams faced a series of challenging Mars mission simulations that tested rover design, autonomous navigation, technical performance, teamwork, and problem-solving under demanding conditions. Demonstrating exceptional resilience, adaptability, and determination, the GUB Mars Rover Team successfully overcame every challenge. Their unwavering spirit and perseverance earned them the distinguished “Most Resilient Team” Award, one of the competition’s most respected recognitions.
University authorities described the achievement as more than a competition success—it is a proud moment for Green University of Bangladesh and an inspiring milestone for higher education, engineering, and innovation in Bangladesh.
