Tribhuvan University (TU) is the first national institution of higher education in Nepal. It was established in 1959 A.D. Tribhuvan University is a non-profit making autonomous institution funded by the Government of Nepal.
On January 8, 2013, the government of Nepal principally agreed to declare Tribhuvan University as the Central University.
It is a oldest and largest public university, offers a wide range of academic programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. TU contains faculties in fields like Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, Education, Science, and Technology.
The university aims to make education available and has realized a variety of scholarships for both national and international students, especially for worthy and financially needy individuals.
