EEE Department of SEU Organized EEE Festival 2018

Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department of Southeast University organized EEE Festival 2018 on 21 April 2018 at its permanent campus at Tejgaon. The program stared at 10:00 am by the inaugurating speech of the Chairman of EEE Department Dr. Engr. Muhibul Haque Bhuyan. Then Dean, School of Science and Engineering gave his speech as Guest of Honor. After that Mr. M. Kamaluddin Chowdhury, Honorable Member of Southeast University Trust gave his speech as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he briefly explained vision, mission and goal of the university and also told the recent progresses of the university. He praised the students and alumni of EEE Department to organize such a colorful event within a very short time. After his speech, trophies of recently held football tournament were distributed among the champions and runner-up team captains with the presence of Honorable Vice-Chancellor who finally gave his speech as the Chair of the program. In his speech, he told the students about organizing such events regular internal to refresh their minds. He also emphasized to the students to disseminate the development and progresses of the university and their department outside the campus. He also stressed the need for quality education in the university.

After the inauguration session, a colorful cultural program was organized. In the first part, students performed by singing songs, dancing, acting dramas etc. In the break-time, Honorable Chairman of EEE Department distributed the prizes and crests among the participants of football tournament and indoor games contests. Then ‘Icche Band’ performed and sang several songs. After that two electronics projects were demonstrated and explained by two groups of students guided by Mehedi Azad Shawon, Coordinator of EEE Department. In the final part, there was a DJ show performed by DJ Tisha.

In the concluding speech, Anisul, President and Imran, General Secretary of EEE Alumni Association expressed their feelings about the program and thanked all. Finally, Honorable Chairman of EEE Department thanked all once again for their wonderful organizations and performances.

Two alumni, Saddam and Nabila conducted the whole program. Over 200 existing students, 50 alumni and all the faculty members and staff of EEE Department participated in this day-long festival program.
