Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship for Bangladeshi Students
MEXT is one of the prestigious scholarships for studying in Japan. Actually, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan provides this scholarship and the short form of the big word is ‘MEXT’.
Now the Japanese government is accepting applications for the MEXT scholarship. If you want to join the research (postgraduate and PhD), undergraduate, college of technology and specialized training program in Japan in 2022, you are welcome to apply.

The scholarship will cover the airfare to come to Japan from their home country and return home on time at the end of the degree. This benefit is not common in many other professions. The students do not have to pay any tuition fee, examination fee or any other fee. The Ministry of Education and Technology of Japan will bear all the fee waivers of public educational institutions and tuition fees and other expenses in public or private universities.
Since 1954, the Japanese government has provided scholarships to students from around 160 countries around the world. It is one of the most prestigious scholarships offered by the Japanese government.

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship
Number of Scholarships
According to a notification on the website of the Ministry of Education, initially, 40 students will be selected for the research stage, 4 for the undergraduate level, 3 for the College of Technology program and 3 for the specialized training college. The selected candidates will have to participate in a written and oral examination to be held at the Embassy of Japan. The notification mentions some conditions for application.

AGE Limitations
Those who want to apply for research (postgraduate and PhD) must be born after April 2, 1987 and have passed the undergraduate or postgraduate examination. In addition, those who want to study in the other three programs, they must be born after April 2, 1997. Educational qualification must be a higher secondary education.

IELTS-TOEFL
Certificate of IELTS or TOEFL must be submitted with the application.
Application Deadline
Online application has been started from 5th May. Applications will be accepted until 5 pm on May 20.
To apply for a Masters’s or Ph.D., one has to have a standard of MEXT’s own CGPA. Sessions in Japan begin in two semesters. All the information about ‘MEXT scholarship’ is also available on the website of MEXT from the Ministry of Education of Japan.
