Orange Knowledge Programme Scholarship

Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) is a scholarship initiative funded by the Dutch government to support students from developing countries in pursuing higher education in the Netherlands.

The scholarship is available to applicants from selected developing countries. The list of eligible countries is determined by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and may be subject to change. At present, the Netherlands offers free postgraduate and various courses for international students under the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) scholarship.

A new application round for the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) scholarships is now open for applications between 28 June – 5 September 16.00 CET.

Eligible Countries for Orange Knowledge Programme Scholarship

Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Vietnam, and Yemen.

Language Skills forĀ Orange Knowledge Programme Scholarship

To get this scholarship, applicants are required to know the English and French language. English or French language skills are required to follow classes in the Netherlands.

Deadlines for application submission

Applicants can only apply for a scholarship during an open application period. The upcoming application round (Round 2) for 2023 is between 28 June – 5 September 16.00 CET for courses starting after 1 February 2024.

How to apply

You cannot apply online on this website. Please follow the steps below and apply through the Dutch education institution of your choice.

Application Process

Applicant must first select a course. Then apply online by contacting the university which offers the preferred course or subject. At present, the application process is in progress. The application will end on September 5.
