41 and 42 BCSThe Public Service Commission (PSC) of Bangladesh has published the dates for the 41st BCS Preliminary and 42nd Special BCS Multiple Selection (MCQ) examinations. The 41st BCS Preliminary Examination will be held simultaneously at Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh centers on March 19, 2021 from 10 am to 12 noon. Earlier, the 42nd BCS MCQ examination will be held on February 26, 2021, from 3 pm to 5 pm only at Dhaka Centers. The PSC issued a notification on Wednesday announcing the schedule of these two examinations. 475,000 candidates applied for the 41st BCS examination.

The details of the two BCS examinations such as examination halls, seating arrangements and detail information about the examinations will be published on the Commission’s website soon.  Through the 41st BCS, there are 323 candidates in the administration cadre and a total of 642 candidates in the general cadre; A total of 2,066 people including 619 people in the professional and technical cadre and 892 people in the general education cadre will be recruited. And in the context of the coronavirus epidemic, 2,000 doctors will be recruited in the government health service through the 42nd special BCS.

More than, 31,000 candidates from graduates of different medical colleges in Bangladesh applied for the posts of the assistant surgeon under the 42nd special BCS and some 2,000 physicians will be recruited. According to the circular published earlier, the examinations for 42nd special BCS will be held on 300 marks, that is, 200 marks MCQ type is written exams and 100 marks on viva voce.

The candidate will get one mark for the correct answer while half mark (.50) will be deducted for the wrong answer to each question.
