One student named Md. Sumon Ali of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Southeast University (SEU) achieved the 5th position out of the 10 positions of the 2nd Bangladesh Electronics Olympiad 2017 held at the Curzon Hall, University of Dhaka (DU) jointly organized by the Bangladesh Electronics Society (BES) and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of DU on 27 January 2017 (Friday). Prof. Dr. A. A. M. S. Arefin Siddque, Honorable Vice Chancellor of DU inaugurated the program as the Chief Guest of the opening ceremony. Honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor (Admin) Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present in the certificate and prize awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest. Besides, 14 more students of different years of EEE Department of SEU and more than 100 participants from 24 public and private universities took part in this day-long Olympiad.
It may be mentioned that Dr. Engr. Muhibul Haque Bhuyan, Chairman of EEE Department of SEU was the Chairman of Publication Committee of BEO2017.
