Two more new private universities are approved

Two private universities have been approved in Bandarban and Rajshahi namely Bandarban University and Shah Makhdum Management University. The number of private universities stood at 101 including these two. This information was found on Thursday from the Ministry of Education.
Ministry and UGC sources said that among the newly approved universities, Bandarban University will be established in Bandarban Sadar. The MP of Bandarban and State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushising are the entrepreneur of the university. But there are some local businessmen with him.
On the other hand, Shah Makhdum Management University will be established in Rajshahi district. Local businessman ABM Muksul Haque has been named as its entrepreneur.
According to the UGC, the approval of four private universities has been approved this month. The other two are Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University and Ahsania Mission Science and Technology University. Kazi Rafiqul Alam, chairman of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, founder of both university. Earlier, he was managing with the approval of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
