43 more private high schools were nationalized in Bangladesh. The Ministry of Education issued the notification on Monday the 24 September 2018. It has been mentioned in the circular that no teacher of nationalized schools can be transferred elsewhere.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced the declaration of nationalization of schools and colleges in one government school and non-college upazilas. On the basis of this, the order of nationalization of the schools granted to the Prime Minister on several occasions has been issued.

According to sources, there are 333 existing government high schools in the country. Later, 175 secondary schools including 12 model schools were nationalized at different times. At present, 43 more national schools have been nationalized, the number of government schools in the country stood at 551. The list of new nationalized schools has been given on the Ministry of Education’s website (www.moedu.gov.bd).
