Opportunity to study in the USA with an Obama Foundation scholarship
The Obama Foundation Scholars Program is accepting applications for providing scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year.
Under this one-year program, young people with leadership skills from different countries of the world will get the opportunity to study at Columbia University and the University of Chicago in the United States.
Applications are already open at Columbia University. Interested candidates can apply online till January 19.
The Obama Foundation Scholars Program will help students identify innovative solutions to complex global problems and develop the skills and empowerment to promote change through values-based leadership.
The Obama Foundation will provide specific curriculum instruction to strengthen leadership development, training, and networking activities throughout the academic year. Through this, students can expand their field of work by gaining skills and experience

Eligibility Requirements
- To study under this program at Columbia University—
- Must have leadership ability. Those who have already made a meaningful contribution to their country.
- The age should be between 26 and 45 years.
- There must be a commitment to leadership in one’s community or country. At the end of the program, one should have the mindset to return to their home country and work for the long term based on advanced training and skills.
- Must be fluent in the English language.
- Must have the ability and inclination to positively shape the future of one’s community.
Must have English Language Proficiency Score. Among these should be a TOEFL (IBT) score of 100, a TOEFL (PBT) score of 600, an IELTS 7.0, a PTE Academic 68, and a DET 120 in the last five years.
Scholarship Facilities
Under this program, students will be provided with a monthly allowance, studio apartments, and tuition fees to stay in the USA.
Apart from this, health and life insurance are available for travel from the home country to the United States along with airfare.
