CU Application Process Suspended:- Chittagong University has suspended the online application process for the first year undergraduate admission test for the 2020-21 academic session. The application was scheduled to be started from Monday tomorrow. The authorities of the CU will inform later when the application process can be rescheduled. This has been said in a notification sent to the media on Sunday afternoon.
The government of Bangladesh has declared a week-long nationwide lockdown from Monday due to an increase of Covid-19 disease, the statement said. For this reason, it has been decided to postpone the application process. The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the Deans Committee of CU on Saturday. The start date of the online application process will be announced shortly.
Earlier, at another meeting of the Dean’s Committee of the university on February 24, it was decided to start the application process for the admission test from April 5, 2021. The application process scheduled to be ended on April 30. Besides, the date of admission test from June 22 to July 8 was announced.
Students will be able to apply for 4,926 seats in 48 departments and 5 institutes at Chittagong University. Out of these, 4,189 are general seats and 737 are quotas. To apply for admission, one student has to pay tk. 550 per unit.
