Updated on 18 December 2023: The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a master’s degree in business administration. The MBA degree originated in the United States in the early 20th century when the country industrialized.
MBA program covers various areas of business like accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations, MIS, Agriculture, Hotel Management, and statistics, in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy. Most programs also include elective courses. MBA programs typically require completing about 60 credits.

The average age of MBA students in the United States is 26–28 years. The average age of those who have been admitted to Harvard University for an MBA in the last few years is 26. Many business schools require 3 to 4 years of work experience to be admitted for an MBA degree.
However, it can be seen in different universities in Bangladesh that the students start MBA classes after completing their undergraduate (honors) level studies. The main goal of an MBA degree is not only a degree but also work experience is important here. Simply put, it can be an effective way to take your career one step further.
