Rajshahi University Admission Test 2019-2020 Application Process for Admission

The Application form for admission to the Rajshahi University (RU) decreased from 1980 to 1200 for the admission seekers under the academic session of 2019-2020. Besides, students have the opportunity to take exams in multiple units. The decision was taken at a meeting of the admission test subcommittee chaired by University Vice-Chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan on Tuesday afternoon. This information has been confirmed by Prof. Dr. Prabhas Kumar Karmakar.

According to the sources, this year’s (2019-2020 academic session) admission test will be held on October 20, 20 and 22. The initial application for the exam will begin on September 3. It will run until September 12 of 2019. Initially, students will have to apply for by payment of application Tk. 55. Meanwhile, the final application will start from 17 September 2019. The final application period will end on 30 September 2019. A fee of Tk 1200 per unit has been fixed in the final application process.

Dr. Karmakar also said that admission tests will be conducted in all three units of science, commerce and humanities. There will be examination of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and the Institute of Education and Research, Faculty of Arts and Law under the ‘A’ unit. Faculty of Business Education, Business Administration Institutes examination will be held under the ‘B’ Unit. Examination of the departments of Science, Biology and Geology, Faculty of Agriculture and Engineering will be conducted under the C Unit. However, each unit will be open to all students. Students can apply in multiple units.

Rajshahi University Admission Test Examination System

The written and MCQ test will be conducted in both ways. Marks 60 for MCQ and 40 for written exam. Written Question 20 (Short answer Question). Number 40 for 20 short questions. Time for written question is 40 minutes and 50 minutes for 50 MCQ Questions. Examination will be conducted on two shifts every day from 9am to 10:45am and from 12pm to 1:45pm. Besides, 12,000 students will get the opportunity to sit the exam.

Eligibility of Rajshahi University Admission Test 2019-2020

  • Eligibility for Application: Students from Humanity group has a minimum of 3 both in SSC and HSC but combined GPA should be 7.00
  • Students from business group has a minimum of 3.50 both in SSC and HSC but combined GPA should be 7.50
  • Students from Science group has a minimum of 3.5 both in SSC and HSC but combined GPA should be 8.00
