DU Online Application for Admission begins August 5, Admission Tests from 13 Sep

Dhaka University (DU) admission test for the 1st year undergraduate (honors) programs will be held in a new way in the academic year of 2019-2020. The admission tests will have 75 marks for multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and 45 marks for a written exam. The MCQ section will have a duration of 50 minutes while the written part will have 40 minutes, according to the press release.
The decision was made at a meeting of Dhaka University’s committee for admissions into 1st year hons programs held at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building today, the release read. Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, DU Vice-Chancellor chaired the meeting, while Pro-vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, chairmen of different departments, directors of different institutes, registrars, and the university proctor were present at the meeting among others.
The online application process of DU will begin from 4:00 pm on 5 August 2019 and it will continue till 12:00 am on August 27.
The admission test for DU’s ‘Ka’ unit will take place on September 20, while admission test for ‘Kha’ unit will be on September 21, ‘Ga’ unit on September 13, ‘Gha’ unit on September 27, ‘Cha’ unit (general knowledge) on September 14 and ‘Cha’ unit (drawing) on September 28, the release read.
